Christmas Cactus Flower

This plant is 26 years old.
About 20 years ago, our old cat ate the flowers from it, and it stunted the growth.
It didn't grow at all anymore, no flowers, nothing.
Then last fall my mom moved in with me.
She brought her plants with her, this cactus included.
With my magic green thumbs and plenty of light and love, this is the first bloom.
Both of us couldn't be more excited, and mom says I keep the plant when she gets back on her feet.
