Signs of the Times

Saw this spray-painted on a guardrail while walking in the Botanical Gardens.
Wasn't sure if it was a message to the plants to grow on, a religious statement, or a dig at our self-worth.
At any rate, take the message as you see fit and rise above it all.

Now you got me wondering what it is supposed to mean. Great find, though.

This is so awesome! As each of us take rise in our own ways...Thanks to you (for sharing) and the person who left it there. For me I hear my mother's words...."Rise above it!" When I see the word rise, or feel a whine begin deep down inside..... RISE!

Love it! Wonder what the originator was thinking? I like to think he was telling the plants to get a move on!

Far be it for me to encourage vandalism, but I LOVE this shot! Someone clearly had a sense of humor, and it was destiny for you to come across the scene. Great shot for this week's theme!

I hope it is not a hint to me to leave this chair and get outside. Interesting shot.

Seeing this reminds me of being a little kid and my mum getting me up for school - "Rise and shine!" I think the saying is still appropriate, get out and face the day and do your absolute best.
