Thematic Photographic: Grounded

K, when I saw this in the front yard, I figured these people had to be pretty grounded.
And for extra measure, here's a lil guy that was grounded instead of in flight.
It's getting colder, the flight will come soon.....

Love those shots - especially the first one! Very clever.

It is lovely to be grounded on one's beliefs and to be proud of it. Great shot indeed. And that little fellow is mighty cute, too. I love the fact that you caught him/her in mid step ;-)

sometimes we have to capture shots quickly.....

would love to know the back story to that first one though, when did it go up.... who put it there.... had they just moved in...and we'll never know...

Great shots! At first glance I thought the top one was a grave marker - grounded indeed! Love the goose too :)

The problem with the goose is the deposit it leaves on the ground. We have two that comeback each year to nest on a lake on the golf course where I play. Beautiful bird.

HONK HONK!

I know just what you mean about the golf course. I like to look at them, but not step in their works in progress...

i especially like the goose! *honk* he looks like he's calling to his friends..."what time is take-off?"
